The Recordkeeping Institute sources trainers who are expert in the subject matter being provided. Regular trainers in recordkeeping include Frank Upward, Barbara Reed and Kerry Gordon.

  Frank Upward

Frank Upward is perhaps best known for his groundbreaking development and articulation of the records continuum model, which is now taught throughout the world and has been the conceptual basis for many of the national and international standards in recordkeeping, particularly electronic recordkeeping. Much of his work is interdisciplinary, drawing on relationships between sociology, information management, information systems and management and, of course, recordkeeping. As an academic at Monash University for many years, Frank is an experienced and gifted teacher.

  Barbara Reed

Barbara Reed has been active in the recordkeeping education and training field for many years. Formerly a Senior Lecturer at Monash University, Barbara maintains a research role with Monash and is involved in the development of national and international recordkeeping standards.

  Kerry Gordon
Kerry Gordon has been an archivist and records consultant since 1983. Kerry has developed and delivered of a range of practical training and education in records management for clients, including development of some of the DIRKS training material for National Archives of Australia.
