Arrangement and Description (1 day)

This course goes back to the theoretical principles behind the archival process of arrangement and description and then outlines current standards such as EAD, ISAD(G), ISAAR and how they all fit together. It then unsettles current practise by posing questions about how our Australian traditions fit into the post-hoc descriptive framework and how other ways of approaching arrangement and description are made possible.
